[Subaru turns his communicator on, but for a long while, he doesn't say anything. He's really only using it because it shocked him -- not because he really wants to talk to anyone. But after a few minutes, he finally speaks. His tone is quiet and broken, though a little thoughtful.]

I wonder how much longer it'll be... It... it can't last forever...

Th... This has happened before. This won't last long, like the last time, I guess.

I wonder if maybe I'll get to see them.

I guess it's a little late... But if I worried anyone while all of those things were happening last week, I'm sorry. It affected me like it did other people.

I'm okay though, so there's really no need to worry. Seishirou-san and Kamui-kun... Thank you.

[Switches to Audio; Very poorly filtered.]

I... I'm really sorry, Kamui-kun. And Subaru-san too. But I think I need to be alone for a while. I-I really appreciate that you let me stay there for long, but I....

It's for the best right now.

[Shaky. It's obvious when the communicator is turned on that the person holding it is shaking pretty hard. After a moment, it steadies very slightly. There's still a tremble on it as Subaru's face comes into view.

His face is very pale, with the exception of his nose, which is red. It's pretty obvious he's crying, although he's not audibly making any noise.]

I...

[He hesitates in saying anything else for a moment. He brings a hand to his face to wipe the tears...

But his gloves are completely torn through, blood visible around what's left of them. When he does wipe the tear, it leaves slight marks from the blood on his cheeks.]

I'll be home soon.

[There's a loud buzz - Subaru's been shocked by his communicator.]

Ah!

I guess it has been a while... It's still so strange though that--

[The audio shuts off mid-sentence and he switches to text.]

I guess I should talk about something. I... Haven't really done much lately though, so I don't know what I should say right now.

Although I was kind of wondering...

If you could say something to anyone, even if they're not in this city, what would it be? I don't want to intrude on anyone's thoughts or anything, but I was curious! Nobody really has to answer if they don't want to...

[When the video comes on, it's an extreme close-up of Subaru's face. He's staring at the communicator, looking pretty lethargic. His eyebrow quirks slightly at seeing the light on, but he taps the button and then tosses the communicator to the side as he stands up.]

[It doesn't turn off though - all that can be seen now it the ceiling of the room he's in. He sighs quietly to himself before speaking out loud.]

It's almost the 22nd already... I know it's not important. That was why I didn't say anything, right? No... It was better that way.

[The video shifts slightly as Subaru lays on the bed. It tilts, but is blocked mostly by the bright red fabric of his jacket.]

... I owe it to him...

Right? What would you do, Hokuto-chan? ... Would you agree?

[He goes quiet after that, save for the sound of a few assorted sniffles until the feed eventually just times out.]

I... I'm back.

[There's a sharp intake of air. It sounds like Subaru has something more to say, but he doesn't, instead turning off the communicator.]




[ooc: He's not ready to go to either of his homes. Hospital commentlogs or running into him on the street are more than welcome!]

K... Kamui-kun! Subaru-san... Fuuma-san... A-are you all okay?! The windows... If any of you are hurt...

[He stops speaking abruptly. There's a loud sound. Metal popping as the pipes in the room burst. Subaru was sitting right in the range of one that began squirting water, causing him to get drenched. The communicator drops to the floor.]

Se... Se... Seishirou-san....! The--

[The sound cuts out again; Well, mostly. It's muffled by the water his communicator is now sitting in a puddle of. The feed eventually times out.]
